Panthers Progress

Progress is underway on Gowanda Central School District’s $30 million capital project that was approved in December 2018. Light poles and lighting have been installed at the softball field. while the replacement of Panther Bridge is continuing. The school posted the above photos on its Twitter account Wednesday with a note: “(Panther Bridge) is closed to motorists and pedestrian traffic until approximately mid-September.” Included in the capital project for athletics are renovations to the baseball and softball fields at the middle/high school that include new drainage and artificial turf. Also, foul ball netting will be installed and the tennis courts will be repaired. Inside the middle/high school, the fitness center will be relocated and renovated. Phase 1a of the project, including the athletic fields, is scheduled to be complete by December of this year.
