Holland, Reschke prevail in Findley Lake

Andrew Holland of Erie, Pennsylvania was the overall male winner and Jen Reschke of Geneseo was the overall female winner during the 2020 Findley Lake Triathlon held Saturday.

Holland had a total time of 3:01.59 in the Double Findley, which combined his 53:49 sprint time with his 2:08.10 Olympic time.

Reschke’s total time was 3:11.44 after a 56:57 sprint time and a 2:14.47 Olympic time.

Doug Thompson of New Paltz was third overall with a 1:01.04 and 2:33.42 combining for a 3:34.46. Mindy Lawson-Crabtree of Frewsburg was fourth with a 1:05.03 and a 2:36.18 combining for a 3:41.21. In fifth was Joe Filipski of Orchard Park and Carson Wickman of Tivoli was sixth. Kimberly Pedrotti of Fairport, Chad Ford of Buffalo, Doug Wickman of Tivoli and David Mostroller of Mullica Hill, New Jersey, rounded out the top-10.

Edward Wheeler of Clymer turned in the top sprint AquaBike time with a 41:45 while Amy Preston of Buffalo was second with a time of 54:59.

In the Olympic AquaBike event, Wheeler was first with a 1:46.30 while Daniel Blake of Buffalo was second with a time of 1:55.22.

In the Sprint-only event, KC Bailey of Geneseo followed Holland and Reschke with a time of 58:38. Thompson was fourth followed by Cameron Townsend of Buffalo, Carson Wickman, Kelly Latimer of Edinboro, Pennsylvania, Donald Guest of Middleburgh, Michael Kelly of Clarence and Michael Rowley of Scottsville.

In the Olympic-only event, Justin Layer of Ballston Spa was 4 minutes behind Holland. Gavin Woodward of New Hartford, Connecticut was third ahead of Reschke. Joseph Rogalski of Buffalo was fifth, Becky DiSorbo of Olean was sixth, Jeffrey Sanford of Erie, Pennsylvania, was seventh, Turner Boone of Geneseo was eighth, Blair Benson of Rochester was ninth and Matt Coleman of Bethesda, Maryland, was 10th.
