CLYMER -- Micah Willink scored 16 points and Hunter Wassink added 15 as Clymer got back in the win column with a 60-34 nonleague win over Chautauqua Lake.
The Pirates (13-1) outscored the Thunderbirds (9-5), 30-17, in each half three days after suffering their first loss of the season to Sherman.
"I think we were a little looser," Clymer coach Irv King said. "Sherman plays great defense and we both challenge every shot. … It was a little nicer seeing the ball go through the hole."
Willink had six rebounds and three steals; Wassink had five assists; and Matthew White grabbed nine rebounds in the victory.
Jalen Parkhurst had 14 points and two steals while Alex Godfrey had five rebounds for Chautauqua Lake.

TRIPLE-DOUBLE
PANAMA -- Darien Swanson registered a triple-double with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists as Westfield beat Panama, 65-48, in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 West play.
Ethan Weingart scored 9 of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter as the Wolverines (6-8, 6-8) put the game away. Carson Swanson added 11 points as both he and his brother hit three 3-pointers apiece.
"If your last name is Swanson, you definitely know they can shoot a 3-ball," Panama coach Ed Nelson said. "Early on we did a pretty good job of marking them up. They are pretty good basketball players with good court awareness. They made us pay for it when they had an open shot."
The Panthers (3-11, 3-11), starting five eighth-graders due to COVID-19 protocols that took out their varsity team, were led by Carter Brink with 18 points and six rebounds. Jordan Mescall added 10 points while Alex Barmore had 9 points and six rebounds.
"Watching them play jayvee, we didn't have a question if they could compete," Nelson said. "I couldn't be more proud. My heart hurts for the guys who aren't able to be here. I'm sure they had a difficult time watching at home."
