Fredonia takes marathon match against Falconer
FREDONIA — Anna Valone had 12 kills, 29 digs and three aces to lead Fredonia past Falconer, 25-22, 25-20, 24-26, 19-25, 25-17 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association volleyball Saturday.
Marissa Cash added 11 digs, four kills, three aces and a block; Erin Schrantz had 12 digs and four aces; and Claire Lanski had five kills and five blocks for the Hillbillies (4-3, 4-3).
Serena Camarata led Falconer (4-5, 2-5) with 31 assists, 12 digs, nine kills and three aces; Rachael Harper had 15 digs, 11 kills, four aces and a block; Emily Melquist had 24 digs, 16 kills and an ace; and Ava Fenton had 27 digs and three aces.
NORTH COLLINS STAYS UNBEATEN
NORTH COLLINS — Mckenna Rice had 11 aces as North Collins swept Ellicottville, 25-9, 25-19, 25-11.
Makena Williams had 11 assists and Michaela Rice had six kills for North Collins (4-0, 4-0).
Ellicottville fell to 0-5 overall and in its league.
TROJANS EARN FIRST WIN
Lauren Cotter had eight kills, eight blocks, four digs and two aces as Southwestern picked up its first victory of the season, 25-22, 17-25, 13-25, 25-19, 25-23 over Allegany-Limestone.
Madeleine DuBois had 10 kills, five aces and four digs; Anna Rauh had nine kills, three digs and two blocks; and Katie Lowe had nine blocks and two kills for the Trojans (1-6, 1-5).
Jenna Louser had nine kills, three blocks and two aces; Violet Nolder had seven kills and four blocks; and Madison Callen had seven kills for the Gators (3-5, 2-5).
PANAMA PULLS OFF SWEEP
SILVER CREEK — Panama swept Silver Creek, 25-13, 25-13, 25-15.
The Panthers improved to 7-1 overall and 7-0 in their league.
The Black Knights fell to 0-5 overall and in their league.
CARDINALS DOWN SALAMANCA
RANDOLPH — Randolph swept Salamanca, 25-9, 25-5, 25-12.
The Cardinals improved to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in their league.
Jaedan Hubbard had four kills and a block while Makayla Burch had a kill and two assists for the Warriors (2-5, 2-5).
