Long touchdown runs by Dom Gullo and Nick Whitfield in the second half led the Fredonia Hillbillies past Falconer-Cassadaga Valley, 12-10, in Falconer.

After trailing 3-0 after a fairly uneventful first half, Gullo scored the first touchdown on the second-half kickoff. Whitfield added the second on a 70-yard scamper down the sideline.

Fredonia is now 1-1 and has its first home game this weekend against Chautauqua Lake in Dunkirk.

In a game played Saturday afternoon in Dunkirk, the Black Knights got a solid offensive performance from Hunter Larson who tallied 272 yards rushing and receiving as well as five touchdowns — four on the ground.

In his first start, quarterback Matt Woleben was 10 of 16 for 193 yards and one touchdown.
