Kickoff return, long run boost Hillbillies; Black Knights victorious
Long touchdown runs by Dom Gullo and Nick Whitfield in the second half led the Fredonia Hillbillies past Falconer-Cassadaga Valley, 12-10, in Falconer.
After trailing 3-0 after a fairly uneventful first half, Gullo scored the first touchdown on the second-half kickoff. Whitfield added the second on a 70-yard scamper down the sideline.
Fredonia is now 1-1 and has its first home game this weekend against Chautauqua Lake in Dunkirk.

In a game played Saturday afternoon in Dunkirk, the Black Knights got a solid offensive performance from Hunter Larson who tallied 272 yards rushing and receiving as well as five touchdowns — four on the ground.
Sam Braidich tallied 182 total yards. He had 82 on the ground and 100 more on five receptions.
In his first start, quarterback Matt Woleben was 10 of 16 for 193 yards and one touchdown.
