Westfield posts volleyball win over Brocton

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Wolverines improved to 2-1 following a 25-7, 25-17, 25-12 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association volleyball victory over Brocton on Tuesday.

Tanleigh Bestine led the way for the winners with 13 aces and eight assists; Kerara Kincaid added 13 aces and four kills; Bianca Seger collected three aces, two kills, one assist and one dig; and Alysia Burgess had an ace, two kills and a dig.

Jalyn Fred had three aces, two digs and an assist, and Heather Johnston added an ace, three digs and two assists for Brocton (0-3).

MONDAY

FALCONER DOWNS SWCS

Emily Melquist collected 19 kills and 18 digs, and Rachael Harper added 10 kills, 16 digs and four aces to highlight Falconer’s 25-16, 25-18, 21-25, 25-15 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association volleyball victory over Southwestern.

Serena Camarata added two kills and 4 assists; Ava Fenton chipped in four kills 20 digs and four aces; and Ashton Beckerink had 18 digs for the winners.

Megan Cotter paced the Trojans with 17 assists, one ace, one block and two digs; Lauren Cotter had five kills, one block and six digs; Sophia Tallon contributed two aces, five kills and one dig; Katie Lowe chipped in five kills, three blocks and two digs; and Lia Constantino had one ace, two kills and seven digs.

FREDONIA FALLS

OLEAN — Olean raised its record to 3-0 following a 25-14, 25-18, 25-17 victory over Fredonia.

Adele Dwaileebe had 10 kills and six digs; Logan Baer 17 assists, four digs and two aces; Alice Dwaileebe four kills, three blocks, two digs, three aces and two assists; Grace Parr three aces three digs and two kills; and Makenna Pancio 11 digs and two aces for the Huskies.

Anna Valone had seven kills and 11 digs; Rhayna Myers five kills and Maddy Marsh 15 digs for the Hillbillies (2-1).

WARRIORS PREVAIL

Salamanca knocked off Ellicottville, 24-26, 25-18, 25-12, 25-19.

Jillian Area had six kills and three assists; and Makayla Burch added six aces, two kills, three assists and a block to help the Warriors improve to 2-1 on the season.
