FREDONIA — Fredonia began its track and field season with an 83-47 win over visiting Springville.

Alex Field took home the 110-meter hurdles (18.5) and the 400-meter hurdles (1:15.4) while Oliver Madariaga claimed the 400 meters (54.7) and the 200 meters (23.4).

Other winners for the Hillbillies included Ledreth Valez-Olmo in the 100 meters (11.7), Adam Lesch in the 1,600 meters (6:12.4) and Matt Linder in the triple jump (35-9.5).
