Panama posts volleyball victory over Silver Creek

PANAMA — Panama (12-2, 12-1) was a 25-13, 25-11, 25-9 winner over visiting Silver Creek (0-13, 0-12) in CCAA North action.

Jo Bailey had 13 kills, two aces and three blocks for the Panthers; Ashlyn Harvey six kills, three aces and five digs; Lilly Odell six kills; Sarah Harvey four kills and two digs; and Maddie Johnson added 27 assists, three digs and nine aces.

Panama won the jayvee match 25-15, 25-20.

CHAUTAUQUA LAKE FINISHES 14-1

MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake topped Cassadaga Valley (4-10, 4-10) 25-10, 25-15, 25-11, to finish the year at 14-1 overall and in the North Division

Leading the way for the winners was Tatem Zemcik with six kills and two aces. Brynn Engdahl had five kills, five aces and five digs; Ava Olson three kills, two aces and eight assists; Jenna Waters four aces and four digs; and Mallory Morrison one kill, one ace and eight assists.

Cassadaga Valley was led by Kaylee Pattyson with four kills and one ace; Brielle LeBaron with four kills and four blocks; Abbey DuBois with 14 assists; and Jocelyn Faulkner with two aces and two digs.

Chautauqua Lake won the jayvee match to finish the year undefeated.

RED DRAGONS TOP BROCTON

BROCTON — Maple Grove (10-4, 5-2) was a 25-6, 25-10, 25-5 winner over Brocton (0-12, 0-5).

Maple Grove was led by Erin Mansfield with 12 assists, Eliza Dawes with four aces, Tessa Reed with four aces, Courtney Martin with four kills and Madi Price with five kills.

Brocton was led by Jena Vacanti with two kills, two blocks and two digs.

Maple Grove claimed the jayvee game.

TROJANS DOWN GATORS

ALLEGANY — Southwestern was a 26-24, 15-25, 25-21, 25-11 winner over Allegany Limestone (7-8, 6-8) to finish at 6-10 overall and 6-8 in Central Division.

Lauren Cotter had two aces, nine kills, seven blocks and three digs in the win. Megan Cotter added 13 assists, two kills, one block and two digs; Madeleine DuBois had eight kills and one dig; while Anna Rauh added an ace, 10 kills and four digs.

Jenna Louser had 10 kills and three blocks, Madison Callen six kills and Alaina Quattrone four kills for the Gators (7-8, 6-8).

CHRISTENSEN SHINES FOR TROJANS

CASSADAGA — Southwestern had the hot hand on Thursday, claiming a 40-15 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association golf win over Cassadaga Valley and a 26.5-18.5 win over Chautauqua Lake/Westfield at Cassadaga Country Club.

Evan Christensen was the medalist with a 37, Max Vaughn shot 38 and Griffin Bogdanowicz carded a 39 to lead the Trojans.

Carson Swanson shot 40 and Darien Swanson 43 for Chautauqua Lake/Westfield while Ace Pierce fired a 53 for the hosts.

DUNKIRK — Fredonia was a 28.5-26.5 winner over Olean at Shorewood Country Club on Wednesday.

Lucas Hoffman was the medalist for the winners with a 36 while Kamdyn McClain shot 39 to lead Olean.

Josephine Corey was the medalist with a 47 for the Trojans while Lauren Jasinski fired a 59 for the hosts.

CASSADAGA — Jamestown’s Jenna Stockwell was the medalist with a 50 as the Red Raiders beat Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove/Westfield 30-25 Tuesday at Cassadaga Country Club.

Maddy Lancaster led Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove/Westfield with a 60.
