Fredonia breaks out on offense

FREDONIA — Gabe Schrader allowed two hits in four innings and also had two hits, including a double, two RBIs and three runs scored at the plate as Fredonia beat Allegany-Limestone 14-8 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West action Friday.

Owen Rush tripled and drove in two runs; Dom Gullo doubled; and Alex Rush, Simon Davis, Jayden Whitfield and Nick Frazier each added RBI singles for the Hillbillies (6-6, 3-4).

RED DRAGONS PREVAIL

BEMUS POINT — Maple Grove (3-1) was an 11-2 winner over Westfield in Division 2 West play.

Tucker Fenton threw six innings of three-hit ball with 11 strikeouts and one walk before Colin McPherson entered to strike out the final three batters of the night.

The Red Dragons’ bats were hot all night, with Jake Vaillancourt going 3 for 4 with a double; Jackson Gowan 2 for 4 with a double; McPherson striking a double; Josh Lockwood going 3 for 4 with two doubles; Adam Brisky 2 for 3 with two doubles; and Ryan Samuelson hitting two singles.

CARDS WALK-OFF WINNERS

RANDOLPH — Ashton Bushey reached on an error driving in Xander Hind with the winning run as Randolph beat Silver Creek/Forestville 4-3 in Division 2 East action.

Aiden Piccolo had a two-run double for the Black Knights (3-5, 1-2) to take a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

Dillon Schrader hit a two-run single in the bottom of the first to tie the game for the Cardinals.

Xander Hind singled and scored on another Schrader RBI single in the fifth inning.

Silver Creek/Forestville tied the game in the sixth when Piccolo doubled and scored on an error.

Xander Hind had three hits, including a double, and Schrader had two hits for Randolph. Bushey threw a complete-game six-hitter with 11 strikeouts.

BEARS COAST

SINCLAIRVILLE — Jonah SanAngelo threw a five-inning two-hitter with four strikeouts as Frewsburg beat Cassadaga Valley 17-3 in Division 2 West play.

Traden Gray led the Bears offense with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored while Jack Yost had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Ryan Schrecengost had two hits, including a double, and an RBI; SanAngelo had two hits and three RBIs; and Payton Dustin, Trent Bjork and Michael Corrigan each drove in two runs.

Max Pingitore doubled and drove in a run for the Cougars.
