Prinzbach, Piccolo lead Black Knights

SOUTH DAYTON — Silver Creek/Forestville (5-6, 3-2) earned a big 11-5 win over Pine Valley in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 East baseball game Thursday.

Cade Neubauer was on the mound for the Black Knights for all seven innings earning the win and giving up four hits, five runs, while walking three and striking out nine.

Donovan Guglielmi started the game for Pine Valley, but went just three innings while giving up four runs and striking out one. David Hunt finished the game for Pine Valley and gave up seven runs on one hit and eight walks, while striking out three.

Silver Creek/Forestville’s offense was led by Hunter Prinzbach going 3 for 5 with an RBI and three runs scored, and Andrew Piccolo also went 2 for 4 for the Black Knights.

RED DRAGONS OUTLAST BEARS

BEMUS POINT — Maple Grove came from behind with four runs in the fourth inning and again with five runs in the sixth inning to beat Frewsburg 10-8 in a Division 2 West game completed Thursday after being suspended Wednesday.

Tucker Fenton went 2 for 2 with a home run while Jackson Gowan and Josh Lockwood each had doubles for the Red Dragons.

Fenton struck out five in two innings before Gowan, Lockwood and Jake Vaillancourt finished out the win on the mound for Maple Grove.

Joel McLaughlin had two hits, including a double; Ryan Schrecengost was 3 for 4 with a double; and Payton Dustin tripled for the Bears.

DUNKIRK WINS WEDNESDAY

ALLEGANY — Mike Norton went 3 for 5 with five RBIs, including a three-run second-inning home run as Dunkirk beat Allegany-Limestone 11-1 on Wednesday after a long weather delay.

Alex Ahlstrom chipped in three hits; Phil Messina and Nick Marsowicz each had two hits including a double; and Donovan Lockett had an RBI double for the Marauders.

Scott Korzenski struck out six in 3 2/3 innings in his first start of the season on the mound for Dunkirk.
