The Chautauqua County Legislature issued a commendation to Dunkirk High School athlete Ashley Gotowka. In the commendation, it was noted that Gotowka pitched a perfect game while a member of the Lady Marauders on May 20 and then threw a no-hitter four days later. Overall in her senior year, she threw five no-hitters and struck out 196 batters in 16 games.
