Spangenburg shines for New York girls in 4-3 loss to Pennsylvania
OLEAN — Falconer/Cassadaga Valley’s Tess Spangenburg was named the New York team’s Most Valuable Player for scoring a goal during her team’s 4-3 loss to Pennsylvania at the NY/PA Corporate Cup Showcase held Sunday evening at Bradner Stadium in Olean.
Warren’s Kyleigh Wilson scored twice while Bradford’s Maddi Cowburn and MacKenzie Lucas each scored once for Pennsylvania.
In addition to Spangenburg, Genesee Valley’s Emera Aquila and Fillmore’s Grace Russell scored for New York.
The New York boys beat Pennsylvania 2-1 in their game.
Allegany-Limestone’s Zach Luce and Chance LaCroix each scored a goal for New York.
St. Marys’ Vini Nunes scored for Pennsylvania.
