The Class C South football game between Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton and Fredonia scheduled for Friday night has been postponed due to COVID-19-related problems with the Thunderbirds.

The undefeated Hillbillies are coming off a 49-26 defeat of Allegany-Limestone on Friday night. That came six days after beating Olean in their season opener. As of now, Fredonia’s next scheduled game is Friday, Sept. 24 at the Orange Bowl against Gowanda/Pine Valley.

Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton is winless after falling to Gowanda/Pine Valley 30-8 on Friday. The Thunderbirds’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 24 at Southwestern’s Charles A. Lawson Field.

The teams are hoping to reschedule Friday’s game, possibly on a Tuesday later in the season.
