Ayers, North Collins improve to 10-0
NORTH COLLINS — Cate Ayers had three aces and 20 assists to lead North Collins to a 25-12, 25-15, 25-12 sweep of Ellicottville in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division girls volleyball Wednesday.
Mckenna Rice had 11 kills, Michaela Rice had nine kills and Mackenzie Jaworski had seven kills for North Collins (10-0, 10-0).
Allison Rowland led Ellicottville (4-7, 4-5) with eight kills and six digs; Natalee Leiper had nine assists; and Cora Norton had two aces.
PINE VALLEY PREVAILS
SALAMANCA — Pine Valley swept Salamanca 25-15, 26-24, 25-15 in the East Division.
The Panthers improved to 6-5 overall and 4-5 in the league.
Jillian Rea had four kills, four assists and three aces while Karina Crouse added three kills and three aces for the Warriors (1-10, 0-9).
WESTFIELD WINS TUESDAY
SHERMAN — Westfield defeated Clymer/Sherman 25-23, 23-25, 25-10, 25-19 in Division 2 West action Tuesday.
Westfield (5-6, 3-6) was led by Tanleigh Bestine with 26 assists and seven kills. Haleigh Dellow contributed 19 kils and three blocks while Bianca Seger and Keara Kincaid both had five aces with 12 and six digs, respectively.
For Clymer/Sherman (4-7, 2-7), Hayden Fisher had four aces and two digs. Karley Honey chipped in with three kills and a block.
