JAMESTOWN — Falconer/Cassadaga Valley wrapped up its regular-season schedule with a 4-0 win against Jamestown in nonleague boys soccer at Strider Field on Friday.

The Golden Cougars jumped to a quick 3-0 lead with Alex Reynolds, Austin Main and Jacob Ansell scoring in the first 10 minutes. Nathan Bailey scored the fourth goal for the Golden Cougars assisted by Ethyn Gilbert. Gilbert recorded two assists while both Ansell and Reynolds had one.

Falconer/Cassadaga Valley finished the regular season with a 10-4-1 overall record while Jamestown dropped to 2-10-0 overall with one game remaining today against Pine Valley/Gowanda.

THUNDERBIRDS

FINISH WITH WIN

SILVER CREEK — Chautauqua Lake finished its league schedule with a 6-0 win against Silver Creek/Forestville in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Central Division game.

Leading the way for the Thunderbirds on offense was Carson D’Anthony with two goals and Kameron Press, Elias Quintero, Caleb Prewitt and Arley Culver each had one goal. Devin Putney was the maestro with three assists and Ian Riedesel, Evan Flurie and Sullivan Ferrino each had one assist.

The Thunderbirds finish the season with a 6-3-1 league record and 8-4-1 overall record while Silver Creek/Forestville finished 0-10-0 overall and 0-8-0 in league.

WOLVERINES WIN

ELLICOTTVILLE — Westfield/Brocton closed the regular season with a 5-2 nonleague win against Ellicottville.

The Wolverines were led by two goals from Josh Barresi and one goal each from Cole Holland, Darien and Carson Swanson. Darien had two assists while both Holland and Simon Mueller had one each.

The Eagles were led by goals from Caedon Wyatt and Sam Edwards, Emmett Jacobson-Coolidge had one assist.

Westfield/Brocton’s regular season record finished at 7-5-1 overall while Ellicottville is 4-10-2 overall.
