Fredonia splits CCAA bowling match with JHS at Lucky Lanes

The Fredonia varsity bowling teams hosted Jamestown on Monday in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association bowling match at Lucky Lanes.

Jamestown’s boys swept Fredonia 4-0 with games of 1,030-949-1,029 for a total of 2,999. Fredonia rolled games of 901-853-861-2615.

Jamestown’s Zach Ryberg led the way with a 208-220-213-641 series; Hayden Walker rolled a 205-256-623; Jack Christensen added a 235 game; Vincent had a 219 and Colton Cappalino added a 206.

Fredonia’s boys were led by Sam Kawski, who rolled a 222-599 series. Zack Kawski added a 225 game and Owen Rush had a 181.

In the girls match, Fredonia beat Jamestown 3-1. The Lady Billies had games of 777-666-853 for a total of 2,296. Jamestown’s girls rolled 710-695-708-2,113.

Gillian Reed led Fredonia with a 192-502 series; Erin Schrantz added a 204-494 series; Allie Cook had a 213; and Londyn Wilmot chipped in with a 168 game.

Jamestown hosts Southwestern on Wednesday, while Fredonia’s next match is Thursday at Silver Creek.

DUNKIRK SWEEPS SILVER CREEK

SILVER CREEK — Robert Kozlowski rolled a 177-188-233-598 to lead the Dunkirk boys to a 4-0 sweep of Silver Creek in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 bowling action Monday at Hanover Lanes.

Clayton Bajdas added a 164-163-215-542 while Devin Farrington threw games of 176 and 207 for the Marauders (8-0), who finished with a team linescore of 831-860-1,005-2,696.

Nate Barlette-Dye led the Black Knights (0-8) with a 161-212-237-610 and Kayden Eggleston had a 171 game. Silver Creek finished with a linescore of 694-701-770-2,195.

In the girls match, Summer Clark hurled a 162-181-193-536 to lead Dunkirk to a 4-0 sweep.

Tayler Skelly added a 168-170-486 and Paige Mullen had games of 161 and 164 for the Marauders (4-0), who finished with a 720-709-781-2,210.

Emily Barlette-Dye rolled a 160-141-161-462 and Laneya Olsen added a 144-160-155-459 for the Black Knights (0-8), who threw a linescore of 613-621-644-1,878.
