Tioga’s Sindoni is MOW on Saturday
MAYVILLE — Tioga’s Emily Sindoni was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler after winning the 126-pound weight class at the third annual New York State Intersectional Girls Wrestling Championships on Saturday at Chautauqua Lake Central School.
General Brown’s Zoey Jewett claimed the 102-pound weight class where Jamestown’s Skylynn Tomlinson took second and Falconer’s Brooklyn Pryll was fourth.
Lake Shore’s Alexiya Thuman took first place in the 118-pound weight class where Chautauqua Lake’s Alex Siliano was fifth.
Sherburne-Earlville’s Selina Moore won the 132-pound title and Chautauqua Lake’s Madison Szymanowski was fifth.
Lewiston-Porter’s Meghan Edwards captured the 138-pound championship with Chautauqua Lake’s Mia Smith in second place.
Chautauqua Lake’s Gabriella Testa took fifth at 126 pounds.
Other first-place winners included: Bolivar-Richburg’s Teegan Sibble (110 pounds), Warsaw’s Hailey DeGroff (145 pounds), West Seneca’s Christina Evans (152 pounds) and Canandaigua’s Sophie Pollack (189 pounds).
