This week marked the season’s end for the East and Southern conferences in the Southern Tier Scholastic Youth Trap League.

A 50-bird All-Star shoot between the East and Southern conferences was held at the Bradford Gun Club.

Bradford’s Clayton Brinksy was the only perfect score in two consecutive match shoots.

Fifty-eight East Conference shooters competed against 118 Southern (Pa.) Conference shooters with the Southern Conference earning a 384-360 victory.

Bradford’s Evan Smith led the way with a 50 followed by Otto-Eldred’s Sebastian Zona (49), Wyatt Farr (48), Austin Unverdorben (48) and Jaydon Stone (47). Coudersport’s John Wylie (48) and Benjamin Torrey (47) also cracked the top eight along with Smethport’s Brayden Cosper (47).

The top eight for the East Conference were: Portville’s Nick Manroe (44), Dakota Collins (43) and Lucious Young (43), Bolivar-Richburg’s David Baldwin (45) and Elliott Fisher (46), Cuba-Rushford’s Logan Ungermann (48) and Tyler Findlay (45), and Fillmore’s Brayden Hennard (46).

Otto-Eldred led the Southern Conference with a season total of 1,095 followed by Bradford (1,092), Coudersport (1,043), Smethport (983), Oswayo Valley (839).

Bolivar-Richburg won the East Conference for a fifth straight year with a final tally of 1,056. Josh Anderson was the top male shooter with a 133, Zoe Dieter was the top female shooter with a 109 and Noah Martin was the most improved shooter.

Cuba-Rushford was second with a 1,047, led by top male Logan Ungermann (135), top female Alexis Layman (90) and most improved shooter Eric Showers.

Portville was third with a 977, led by top male Merrick Witherell (118), top female Kaylin Conklin (111) and most improved Caleb Burgess.

Fillmore was fourth with an 810, led by top male Travis Delude (89), top female Alexandria Thur (76) and most improved Lexi Phetteplace.

Fifth place went to Genesee Valley with a 788, led by top male Jonathan Baker (95), top female Ashley Burrows (135) and most improved Derek Grantier.
