Frewsburg baseball camp set for next week

FREWSBURG — The annual Frewsburg Bears summer baseball camp will run for three days next week.

Boys and girls ages 5-12 will be instructed in hitting, fielding and base running Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Drop-off is available starting at 8:45 a.m. with pick-up until 12:15 p.m.

The camp will be held at the Frewsburg Sports Complex behind Robert H. Jackson Elementary School, 135 Ivory Road in Frewsburg. Instruction will take place on the baseball field or in the gym at the school in the case of inclement weather.

Instruction will be organized by head varsity coach Eric Haglund, Mike Sheesley, Bill Hair, Shane Marucci and members of the Bears teams.

Campers are asked to bring a hat, glove, bat, helmet and cleats. Also, in the case of bad weather, campers should have sneakers to wear indoors. All equipment should be labeled.

The camp cost $90 per camper or $70 for each additional family member. A T-shirt is included with the cost of the camp. Prizes and awards as well as lunch will be given out on the final day. Checks can be made payable to Frewsburg Baseball Boosters or payment can be made using Venmo @frewsburgbaseball. Check-in will take place beginning at 8:30 a.m. the first day of camp.
