Gowanda tops Pine Valley in three sets

SOUTH DAYTON -- Jada Geiger had six kills while Jillian Gernatt had 10 assists, two kills, two digs and an ace as Gowanda swept Pine Valley 25-12, 25-12, 25-18 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division volleyball Monday.

Holland Browning had four kills and two aces; Gao:Wisa:S Stevens had four kills, nine digs, six aces and two assists; and Josalyn Degenfelder had seven digs for Gowanda (2-0, 2-0).

Pine Valley fell to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the league.

ADAMS, LUCE POWER CARDINALS

RANDOLPH -- Eve Adams had 21 kills and Kameron Luce had 25 assists to lead Randolph to a 25-10, 25-9, 25-7 sweep of Cattaraugus-Little Valley in the East Division.

Donnilynn Sheldon had eight aces, five kills and two blocks while Avery Morrison had seven digs for the Cardinals (3-1, 3-0). Adams also chipped in six digs and six aces while McKenzie Crosson had five aces.

The Timberwolves fell to 0-3 overall and in the league.

Randolph also won the jayvee match.

WARRIORS SWEEP BLACK KNIGHTS

SALAMANCA -- Marlee Maybee had 13 assists while Karina Mireles-Crouse had four aces and three kills as Salamanca swept Silver Creek 25-9, 25-19, 25-21 in the East Division.

Lezly McComber had three kills and a block while Madison Hoag and Brianna Benjamin each had three aces for the Warriors (1-1, 1-1).

The Black Knights fell to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in the league.

JAWORSKI STANDS OUT

ELLICOTTVILLE -- Mackenzie Jaworski had 10 kills and two aces to lead North Collins to a 25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 30-28 East Division win over Ellicottville.

Sophia Vanstrom had five kills and five aces; Zoe Kreinheder had five kills and four aces; and Milani Maciejewski had three kills and three aces for North Collins (2-2, 2-1).

Natalee Leiper had eight kills, five digs, two aces and two blocks; Allison Rowland had eight kills, 18 digs and seven aces; and Ande Northrup had 15 assists for Ellicottville (1-3, 1-2).
