NORTH COLLINS — North Collins knocked off Ellicottville in four sets by scores of 20-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-23 for a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division volleyball victory on Wednesday.

North Collins was led by Cate Ayers with 16 assists, Mackenzie Jaworski had eight kills, and Milani Macijewski and Zoe Kreinheder both added six kills each.

Ellicottville’s effort was led by Natalee Leiper with 13 kills, nine digs and six blocks; Ande Northrup had 27 assists and two aces; Allison Rowland added 12 kills, 16 digs, and three aces; Dalayla Alexander made 19 digs and two aces; while Cora Norton contributed six aces and six kills.

North Collins (9-4, 7-3) hosts Frontier on Friday and Ellicottville (5-7, 5-5) will entertain Clymer/Sherman.

TUESDAY

RED DRAGONS PREVAIL

BROCTON — Maple Grove downed Brocton 25-14, 25-6, 25-11 in a Division 2 West match.

Eliza Dawes led the Red Dragons (6-5, 6-2) with three aces and 10 kills; Erin Mansfield collected 17 assists and one ace; and Hannah Benson and Abby Harrell each had three kills.

For the Bulldogs (2-10, 0-8), Andrea Spiller recorded four assists and one dig; and Julia Miller chipped in three kills, one block and one dig.
