Warsaw nets 3 for Eagles in shutout win

NORTH COLLINS — Matthew Warsaw scored a second half hat trick to send North Collins (3-5-1, 1-5-0 CCAA Central) past Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley (0-12-0, 0-7-0 CCAA East) 5-0 in nonleague boys soccer action on Friday.

Derek Ebersole opened the scoring in the 9th minute with an assist from Jack Niefergold and then scored a second time in the 61st minute from Austin Kehr. Along with his two goals, Ebersole made two assists while Jonah Farina had the helper on the fourth goal. Daniel Downes earned the shut out victory in net with three saves.

HUSKIES EDGE MARAUDERS

OLEAN — Brennen Keller scored in the 18th minute to send Olean (1-11-0, 1-6-0) past Dunkirk (1-10-0, 0-7-0) in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association West Division action 1-0.

Greg Orcutt Jr. kept the Marauders in the contest by making eight saves.

WOLVERINES SHUT OUT PANTHERS

SOUTH DAYTON — Westfield/Brocton (5-6-0, 3-3-0 CCAA Central) defeated Gowanda/Pine Valley (1-10-0, 1-6-0 CCAA East) 5-0 in nonleague play.

Carson Swanson scored twice while Aiden Gatto, Aiden Covert and Aaron Fuller scored once each in the victory. Danny Bratton, Tahner Stow, Lucas Hyuck, Mihir Patel and Covert all had one assist each.
