Cassadaga Valley boys strike out Frewsburg

FREWSBURG — Matthew Helwig’s 171-211-540 led Cassadaga Valley to a 4-0 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys bowling sweep of Frewsburg on Wednesday at Frewsburg Lanes.

Hayden Carr had a 173-172-492 and Calvin Hilliker spun a 182-480 for the Cougars, who finished with a team linescore of 759-755-727-2,241.

Erich Thompson had a 193-464 for the Bears, who finished with a 619-686-609-1,914.

In the girls matchup, Jasmine Estabrook had a 199-498 for Frewsburg as it won 4-0.

The Bears finished with a linescore of 538-541-549-1,628.

Kristin Wise had a 456 for the Cougars, who finished with a 412-454-482-1,348.

FALCONER BOYS WIN,

GIRLS LOSE

JAMESTOWN — Nic Houston’s 204-183-226-613 led Falconer past Fredonia 3-1 in boys action at Jamestown Bowling Company.

Additional high games for the Golden Falcons were turned in by Brayden Scott (216, 184), Javier Gonzales (226, 183) and Damen Vincent (203) as the team finished with a linescore of 976-853-902-2,731.

Owen Rush’s 191-181-201-573 led the Hillbillies to a linescore of 826-905-894-2,625. Other high games were turned in by Kyle Berkshire (191, 186), Nate Manzella (201, 210) and Zach Kawski (185).

Fredonia’s girls defeated Falconer 4-0 behind a 192-175-503 from Allie Cook.

Londyn Wilmot added a 160-475 for the Hillbillies, who finished with a linescore of 770-752-641-2,163.

For the Golden Falcons, Kaitlyn Swan had a 419 en route to a team linescore of 517-596-592-1,705.

MAPLE GROVE WINS

FREDONIA — Keegan Rishel’s 244-179-184-607 sent Maple Grove past Brocton/Westfield 4-0 at Lucky Lanes.

Logan Crist had a 214-510 and Carter Rishel had a 181-481 for the Red Dragons, who finished with a linescore of 844-744-856-2,444.

Jeremy Weisner had a 203-502 for Brocton/Westfield, which finished with a 653-571-540-1,764.

RED RAIDERS SWEEP

JAMESTOWN — Jamestown opened its Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association bowling season in impressive fashion on Wednesday afternoon at Jamestown Bowling Company.

For the boys, Hadyn Walker smashed a 200-279-651; Vincent Parasiliti had a 214-198-577; Jack Christensen rolled a 183-214-559; and Marco LoBello hit a 224-183-556 as the Red Raiders posted a 4-0 win.

The linescore for Jamestown was 951-913-902-2,766 compared to 464-518-460-1,442 for the Black Knights.

Andon Sutter led Silver Creek with a 315.

The Red Raiders also swept the girls match, behind a 194-225-202-621 from Abbie Derby. Teammate Addison Cappalino fired a 178-194-527.

Jamestown’s linescore was 722-767-851-2,340 compared to 541-610-539-1,690 for the Black Knights.

Emily Barlette-Dye led Silver Creek with a 193-516.

CARDINALS BOYS, GIRLS SPLIT

JAMESTOWN — The Randolph boys bowling team defeated Forestville 3-1 on Wednesday at Jamestown Bowling Company.

The Cardinals scored 708-868-796-2,372 to the Hornets’ 745-779-760-2,284.

Randolph was led by Wyatt Weaver with 208-215-590, Christopher Smith had 219-182-574, Andy Bohall had 215 and Roman Weaver had a 212. Forestville was led by Brayden Smith with 226-290-224-740 and Tucker Merritt added a 172 game.

The Forestville girls won 4-0, rolling 544-641-658-1,843 to Randolph’s 477-400-441-1,318.

The Hornets were led by Tristan Olson with 184-200-544, Dakota VanArsdale rolled 170-203-527 and Alexandra Kerstetter had a 152. Randolph’s effort was led by Alyssa Milks with a 180-150-460.

WOLVES WIN OPENER

CUTTING — Carson Faulkner rolled a 171-497 to lead Clymer/Sherman to a 4-0 sweep of Chautauqua Lake in Tuesday action at Cutting Lanes.

Dayton Hosier added a 188-478 while Hunter Bogert spun a 179-475 for the Wolves, who rolled a team linescore of 802-779-711-2,292.

Ragen Crandall’s 335 led the Thunderbirds to a linescore of 504-471-414-1,389.
