Gowanda used eight pins to beat Dunkirk 54-24 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 wrestling Thursday.

Kiernan Quinn (160 pounds), Benjamin Krajewski (189 pounds), Jayden Fish (118 pounds), Greg Reid (126 pounds), Ke’ya Stevens (132 pounds), Kaleb Smith (138 pounds), Nathan Warrior (145 pounds) and Michael Horth (152 pounds) had takedowns for the Panthers.

Conner Jakubowicz (215 pounds), Jonathan Ortiz (285 pounds) and Issiah Ruiz (110 pounds) had pins for the Marauders.

Dunkirk defeated Erie High School 54-5 in a nonleague dual meet on Wednesday.

The Marauders started off the evening with three consecutive falls. At 189 pounds, Dominik Mangus pinned Erie’s Samuel Vaughn in 51 seconds; Conner Jakubowicz secured another pin for Dunkirk at 215 pounds over Chase McCledon in 1:10; and Dunkirk took an early18-0 lead when Jonathan Ortiz scored a 35-second pin over Xavier Loredo.

Dunkirk accepted six forfeits between the 102- and 160-pound weight classes.
