Helwig, Cougars roll past Hornets

Matthew Helwig rolled a 193-207-546 to help Cassadaga Valley beat Forestville 4-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys bowling at Lucky Lanes on Monday.

Jeremiah Phillips added a 178-175-504 for the Cougars, who finished with a team linescore of 743-856-798-2,397.

Brayden Smith had a 185-178-191-554 and Tyler Waugh added a 191 game for the Hornets, who finished with a linescore of 644-682-707-2,033.

Dakota VanArsdale’s 174-484 led the Forestville girls to a 3-1 victory.

The Hornets finished with a 516-630-637-1,783 linescore.

Kristin Wise had a 186-188-512 for the Cougars, who rolled a 586-557-449-1,592.

HARPER DRILLS 616 SET

Tannon Harper spun a 243-193-180-616 as Brocton/Westfield swept Clymer/Sherman 4-0 in boys action at Lucky Lanes.

Tahner Stow added a 173-470 for Brocton/Westfield, which finished with a team linescore of 779-726-686-2,191.

Max White’s 171-440 led Clymer/Sherman to a linescore of 707-641-654-2,002.

KAWSKI’s 604 LEADS FREDONIA

Zack Kawski spilled a 214-224-604 set to lead Fredonia to a 3-1 boys defeat of Jamestown at Lucky Lanes.

Nate Manzella had a 177-199-203-579 and Owen Rush cracked a 213-179-192-584 as the Hillbillies finished with a linescore of 906-885-1,004-2,795.

Hadyn Walker’s 206-244-616 and Vincent Parasiliti’s 201-216-190-607 led the Red Raiders to a linescore of 836-964-784-2,584.

In the girls match, the Hillbillies’ Londyn Wilmot had a 197-210-556 and Allie Cook drilled a 204-191-526 as Fredonia won 3-1.

The Hillbillies finished with a 643-839-826-2,308 linescore.

Abbie Derby led the Red Raiders with a 189-195-542 and Addison Cappalino had a 465 as Jamestown finished with a 717-716-732-2,165.

SHULL ROLLS 601 SERIES

OLEAN — Drew Shull rolled a 201-204-196-601 to lead Gowanda’s boys to a 4-0 sweep of Hinsdale at Good Times of Olean.

Nicholas Scmuda had a 201-512 as the Panthers finished with a three-game total of 2,487.

Gowanda’s girls lost 4-0, but Deme Spire rolled a 211-522.
