Randolph holds off Panama; Clymer downs Forestville girls

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Cardinals girls basketball team survived a fourth quarter rally from the Panama Panthers to win 47-43 in nonleague action on Thursday.

Quinn Pence paced the Cardinals (2-3, 0-0 CCAA D1 West) with 20 points, hitting four 3-pointers, she added three assists and made two steals; Skylar Herrington added 11 points and five rebounds; Kyra Pence dished three assists while grabbing eight rebounds and Katelyn Storer hauled in six rebounds.

The Panama (5-2, CCAA D2 West 3-0) rally was led by Mandy Brink scoring 11 of her 26 points in the fourth quarter, she also grabbed four rebounds, dished three assists and made three steals; and Kaitlyn Horton had nine rebounds.

PIRATES LOCK IT DOWN

CLYMER — Clymer put on a defensive clinic to defeat Forestville 45-17 in nonleague action.

Alexys Neckers led the way for the Pirates (5-2, 2-2 CCAA D2 West) with 12 points, seven rebounds, six steals and two blocks; Makenna Woods added 10 points, 11 rebounds and a block; Aurora Ordines scored 8 points, made five steals and a bock and Abby White grabbed 10 rebounds and made four steals.

Forestville’s (1-5, 1-0 CCAA D2 East) top scorers were Carilene Sliwa and Callie Grupa with five points each.

Sliwa grabbed six rebounds and three steals while Lauryn Pierce added five boards.

PINE VALLEY WINS

SOUTH DAYTON — Pine Valley dominated Silver Creek (1-6, 0-3 CCAA D2 West) in the first half to cruise to a 56-33 nonleague victory.

Danielle West led Pine Valley (2-4, 0-0 CCAA D2 East) with 14 points, six steals and three assists; Kaitlin Hayes scored 9 points; Alyssa West made six steals and had four assists; and Vivien Libby scored 8 points, made seven rebounds and had four steals.
