Dunkirk girls win team title

FREDONIA — Highlighted by Tayler Skelly’s 279 scratch game, the Dunkirk girls bowling team captured the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Roll-Offs on Wednesday at Lucky Lanes.
The Marauders squad, comprised of Skelly, Gracey Kozlowski, Hayden Cerrie, Victoria Cerrie and Kassidy Donisi, recorded a linescore of 1,219-1,062-1,098-3,379 to edge Forestville, which finished with a 1,065-1,143-1,163-3,371. Fredonia placed third with a 1,133-1,081-1,104-3,318.
Other individual top performances were turned in by Hailee Zalwsky of Allegany-Limestone with a 643 for high individual scratch series; and Forestville’s Alexandra Kerstetter and Dakota VanArsdale with high individual handicap series (732) and high individual handicap game (263) respectively.
The remaining team scores were Gowanda 1,031-1,079-1,004-3,114; Allegany-Limestone 1,023-1,-34-1,055-3,112; Jamestown 976-1,041-1,067-3,084; Hinsdale 1,029-997-1,047-3,073; Genesee Valley 1,009-970-1,071-3,050; West Valley 1,003-1,035-1,007-3,045; Frewsburg 1,058-1,076-909-3,043; Chautauqua Lake 1,049-956-1,025-3,030; Silver Creek 1,045-961-1,013-3,019; Ellicottville 1,023-1,020-963-3,006; Falconer 1,048-955-1,003-3,006; Clymer/Sherman 987-986-1,007-2,980; Salamanca 971-969-1,003-2,943; Cattaraugus-Little Valley 974-921-1,013-2,098; Randolph 918-956-1,007-2,881; Cassadaga Valley 810-857-855-2,522; and Maple Grove 819-765-837-2,421. Cassadaga Valley and Maple Grove did not have five bowlers.
