Krenzer powers Falconer in 4th quarter

FALCONER — Dani Krenzer scored 14 of Falconer’s 20 fourth-quarter points as the Golden Falcons beat Cassadaga Valley 50-40 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 East girls basketball Tuesday.

The Cougars (11-7, 4-4) led 20-13 at halftime before Falconer (11-7, 6-2) tied the game with a 17-10 third quarter.

Krenzer finished with a game-high 22 points, including 19 in the second half, to go along with 11 rebounds. Augustine Krenzer had 12 points and 10 rebounds; Kamryn Harper grabbed six rebounds; and Kayla Jo Lynn had six assists and three steals while holding Cassadaga Valley’s leading scorer Emiley Anderson to just 4 points.

Aliyah Hopkins led the Cougars with 18 points and Andrea Johnson had 10.

MORRISON REACHES 1,000

RANDOLPH — Sophomore Payton Morrison scored her 1,000th career point as Randolph coasted to a 74-25 Division 1 West victory over Olean.

Morrison finished with 20 points and six rebounds; Kyra Pence had 19 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals; and Skylar Herington had 17 points, nine rebounds, four steals and three rebounds for the Cardinals (13-4, 8-0), who led 20-6 after the first quarter and 42-11 at halftime.

Amy Campbell led the Huskies (7-10, 3-5) with 8 points.

WEST ELLICOTT — Maddie McIntyre had a career-high 24 points to go along with six rebounds as Southwestern beat Fredonia 73-39 in Division 1 West action.

Reece Beaver had 28 points, eight steals and seven assists, while Bella Sirianni had five assists for the Trojans (13-4, 7-1), who led 37-15 at halftime.

Makayla Tabone and Alana Holt had 7 points apiece for the Hillbillies (4-13, 1-7).

Ellicottville (12-5, 8-0) took control with a 15-5 second quarter to lead 24-9 at halftime.

Hailey Jasinski led North Collins (2-12, 1-6) with 19 points.

NECKERS SHINES FOR PIRATES

CLYMER — Alexys Neckers scored 17 of her game-high 21 points during the second half as Clymer pulled away from Maple Grove for a 62-43 Division 2 West victory.

The Pirates (13-5, 7-4) led 21-15 at halftime before Neckers scored 11 points during a 25-17 third quarter.

Neckers also grabbed 11 rebounds and picked up four assists; Aurora Ordines had 17 points and five assists; and Natalie Johnson grabbed 12 rebounds for Clymer.

Erin Mansfield led the Red Dragons (5-12, 2-8) with 17 points.
