T’birds fall to Randolph in quarters; Holland upends Black Knights

RANDOLPH — Top-seeded Randolph had little trouble advancing in the Section VI Class C boys basketball playoffs Saturday.

Carson Conley and Jaiden Huntington saw to that.

The senior tandem combined for 52 points to lead the Cardinals (17-4) past No. 8 Chautauqua Lake in a quarterfinal game.

Conley poured in 30 points, including four 3-pointers, while Huntington added 22, including six treys. Randolph will now meet No. 4 Holland in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jamestown Community College.

The Thunderbirds end their season 9-13.

BLACK KNIGHTS FALL

HOLLAND — Brady Wiskup scored 27 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and collected six steals as No. 4 Holland downed No. 5 Silver Creek 72-64 in a Section VI Class C quarterfinal game.

Henry Anderson added 22 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals; Trenton Domanowski-Ellis had 12 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists; and Dax Bengert scored 10 poing to go along with six boards.

Trailing after the first quarter by four points, Holland outscored the Black Knights 28-15 in the second quarter and held on for the win. The Dutchmen (16-5) will now face No. 1 Randolph in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jamestown Community College. Silver Creek ends its season 12-10.
