BUFFALO -- The unprecedented, magical ride for the Fredonia Hillbillies will continue for at least another few days.
The Hillbillies made the top-ranked Lewiston-Porter Lancers their latest victim in a fourth straight stunning upset, 64-63 in overtime, to win the Class B Crossover boys basketball game on Tuesday night at Buffalo State University.
Fredonia (19-7, Class B2 champion) has eliminated back-to-back 1-seeds, a 2-seed and a 3-seed on its run through the postseason to become the first Fredonia boys basketball team since 1993-94 to earn a trip past Buff. State on to the Far West Regional game. That contest will be on Saturday afternoon, with the winner earning a trip to the State Final Four.
