34 student-athletes named to Region 3 Academic All-Region team

TROY — Academic honors are rolling in with the 2022-23 Academic All-Region selections coming in.

Jamestown Community College had 34 student-athletes make the list which ranks tied for fifth within Region 3 and it’s 21 member institutions

In order to make Academic All-Region, student-athletes must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours with a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and competed in one sport throughout the year.

Of the men’s teams, soccer leads the way with six honorees with baseball having four. Swimming & diving, basketball, and golf each had three honorees with wrestling having one honoree.

Of the women’s teams, soccer led the way with six honorees with basketball having five representatives. Softball had four representatives with swimming & diving having three honorees.

The representatives included six from men’s soccer. They are Gavin Roux, Mario Campo, Josh Heim, Leohnard Kamann, Carlos Kramer, Kim Magidhi. Six from Women’s Soccer: Sheala Barresi, Jolize Beukman, Reagan Chitester, Ireland Hagglund, Erin Nolan. Three from men’s basketball. They are Traden Gray, Nkosianthi Dlamini and Gonzalo Luque. Five from women’s basketball. They are Chyann Kelly, Jill Kindberg, Nonjabulo Mathebulo, Angelique Palacio and Zalika Stevens. Three from women’s swimming & diving. They are Stacey Blackler, Hannah Eckert and Jenna Fiebiger. Three from men’s swimming & diving. They are Joseph Keyser, Gavin Roux and Steven Zentz. One from wrestling, Brock Johnson. Four from baseball. They are Royce Frazier, Hayden Hoag, Nate Johnson and Riley Piazza. Three from Men’s golf. They are Traden Gray, Noah Adams and Anthony Gullo. Four from softball. They are Chyann Kelly, Angelique Palacio, Cheznea Rivera and Cassidy Vincent.
