Oste scores winner as Red Dragons clip Hillbillies in overtime

Drew Oste scored twice, including the game-winning goal in overtime, to send Maple Grove past Fredonia 3-2 in nonleague boys soccer action at SUNY Fredonia on Saturday.

Keegan Rishel scored from Gavin Rodgers in the 10th minute before Oste tallied from Rishel in both the 17th and 81st minutes for the Red Dragons (4-1-0, 2-0-0 CCAA Central).

Sam Pietro scored from Juan Botello Lledin in the 56th minute before Botello Lledin scored from Aiden Czekanski in the 68th minute for the Hillbillies (3-2-0, 1-1-0 CCAA West).

KARNES POWERS BLACK KNIGHTS

SOUTH DAYTON — Alex Karnes had two goals and an assist to send Silver Creek past Pine Valley/Gowanda in nonleague action.

Karnes and Ben Layton scored in the first half as the Black Knights (2-4-0, 0-2-0 CCAA Central) took a 2-1 lead. Jack Sheldon scored from Jarrett Meyers for the Panthers (0-6-0, 0-2-0 CCAA East).

After the break, Michael Grisanti scored from Karnes before Karnes scored again.

RANDOLPH PREVAILS IN OT

RANDOLPH — Cooper Freeman scored from Diego Stradi in the second minute of overtime as Randolph beat Westfield/Brocton 3-2 in nonleague action.

Ryder Smith scored from Parker Patterson to give the Cardinals (6-0-0, 2-0-0 CCAA East) a 1-0 lead in the fifth minute before Anthony Gatto answered from Aiden Gatto for the Wolverines (5-2-0, 1-1-0 CCAA Central) in the 33rd minute.

Before halftime, Stradi scored from Griffin Nelson.

In the 71st minute, Westfield/Brocton tied the game when Carson Swanson scored from Cameron Paternosh.

MARAUDERS BEAT FREWSBURG IN OT

Anderson Francisco Felipe scored twice, including the game-winning goal in overtime, as Dunkirk beat Frewsburg 3-2 in nonleague play at Karl Hoeppner Field.

The Bears (4-3-0, 1-1-0 CCAA Central) led 1-0 early on Gavin Smith’s goal in the second minute before Victor Milan answered from Angel Sanchez in the 21st minute for the Marauders (2-3-0, 0-2-0 CCAA West).

Smith scored from Garrett Brink in the 23rd minute to make it 2-1, but Francisco Felipe tied the game in the 73rd minute.
