Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville/Pine Valley wins on Senior Night

Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville/Pine Valley’s Hazel Bache won the 100-yard backstroke, Leah Waite claimed the 100-yard breaststroke and the hosts also captured the 400-yard freestyle relay en route to a 92-75 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association girls swimming and diving victory over Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton on Thursday at Fredonia High School.

Elizabeth Pucci-Schaefer and Leah Marsh also finished first and second, respectively, in the 1-meter diving competition for Fredonia/Dunkirk/Forestville/Pine Valley, which recognized Ashlynn Delcamp and Bache on Senior Night.

Addison Luce claimed the 50-yard freestyle (26.68) and 100-yard butterfly (1:10.48) while Sophia Gervasio took the 200-yard individual medley (2:56.29) and 500-yard freestyle (6:45.15) for Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton.

PANAMA — Unbeaten Panama/Maple Grove/Clymer had three individual double winners in its 102-83 victory over Allegany-Limestone/Ellicottville.

Claiming two wins for the Panthers were Addi Bryant (200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke) and Emery Watkins (100-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle).

Lauryn Ball was a double winner for the Gators (50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle).

SALAMANCA — A trio of double-winners led Olean/Franklinville/Portville past Salamanca 114-70.

Kayci Landow won the 200-yard individual medley at 2:44.89 and the 500-yard freestyle at 6:30.96, Tyetta Herman claimed the 50-yard freestyle at 26.98 and 100-yard freestyle at 1:01.80, and Molly Marshall earned first in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:15.10 and 100-yard backstroke at 1:12.80 for the Huskies.

Salamanca’s lone win came from Gabriella Bly in the 1-meter diving by posting the high score of 157.35.

MAYVILLE — Addison Luce’s record-breaking swim in the 100-yard butterfly was not enough to lift Chautauqua Lake/Westfield/Brocton past Allegany-Limestone/Ellicottville on Tuesday.

Lauryn Ball won the 200-yard individual medley (2:41.64) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:28.08) as Allegany-Limestone/Ellicottville won 106-62.

Luce won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:07.91 to break Heather Freeman’s 18-year-old record.
