Anderson leads Cougars past Portville 63-38
SINCLAIRVILLE — Emiley Anderson poured in 29 points and Cassadaga Valley used a 40-point second half to down Portville 63-38 in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 East basketball game Tuesday night.
The Cougars trailed 23-22 at halftime, but went on a 21-12 run in the third quarter and a 19-3 surge in the final period to win going away.
Andrea Johnson added 16 points and 10 rebounds; and Anderson collected six steals and five assists as Cassadaga Valley raised its record to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the division.
Lillian Bentley paced the Panthers (7-3, 0-2) with 17 points, nine rebounds and four blocks.

FREWSBURG — Jadyn Trocki scored 25 points, grabbed eight steals and dished four assists to lead Frewsburg past Gowanda 84-26 in Division 1 East action.
Ava Jimerson added 15 points, eight steals, five rebounds and three assists for the Bears (11-2, 3-0); Teghan Trocki scored 16 points, five rebounds, five steals, three assists and a block; and Taytum Jimerson pitched in 12 points, eight boards, six assists and four steals.
Gowanda’s (2-9, 0-2) effort was led by Corrina John with 17 points.

FALCONER — Skylar Herington scored 22 points to lead Randolph past Falconer in CCAA Division 1 East play.
Gianna Bowles added 11 points and four steals for Randolph (7-4, 2-0), Sadie Steward scored 9 and had five steals, Quinn Pence dished seven assists and five steals and Zoelle Dickerson reeled in 10 rebounds.
Falconer (4-7, 1-2) was led by Ashley Smith with 6 points and 10 rebounds, Ellyson Baglia had six boards and Augustine Krenzer had three steals.
