Falconer, Fredonia meet in unified bowling match

FREDONIA — The Falconer and Fredonia unified bowling teams squared off Wednesday at Lucky Lanes.

Although the final score ended 7 to 2 in favor of the Hillbillies, the match scores told a very different story.

Of the nine matches played, six of the nine were decided by 12 pins or less, and three of the six were separated by four pins, three pins and four pins.

Starting out the event, Falconer’s Josh Lincoln opened up with six straight strikes and recorded a spare in the seventh team. Teamed up with Evan Martin, they ended the match with the highest combined score of the day with a 268. Another standout performance for Falconer was turned in by Anthony Bucello, who improved his overall pin count by 20 pins.

For Fredonia, Austin Duliba and Miriam LaBarr combined for a team-high 220, and Duliba partnered with Charis LaBarr for a 208. Luke McKnatt and Charlie Domenico finished with a 204 to help lead the unified Billies to the victory.
