Trojans top Fredonia; Cassadaga Valley coasts past Gowanda
FREDONIA — Reece Beaver scored 25 points to go along with six assists, eight rebounds and three steals to pace Southwestern to a 58-38 victory over Fredonia in a Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 West girls basketball game Saturday.
The Trojans (10-6, 10-3) led 32-23 at halftime, increasing the margin to 49-33 entering the fourth quarter.
Bella Sirianni chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds; and Madi McIntyre hauled in 16 boards for Southwestern.
The Hillbillies dropped to 8-7 overall and 7-7 in the division.
COUGARS PREVAIL
SINCLAIRVILLE — Cassadaga Valley jumped out to a 38-10 lead by halftime and rolled to a 67-47 victory over Gowanda in a Division 1 East girls game.
Emiley Anderson led the way for the Cougars (10-6, 9-6) with 24 points and Andrea Johnson had 21.
Corrina John paced the Panthers (2-14, 2-9) with 22 points, including six 3-pointers, and Karice John chipped in 10.

SOUTH DAYTON — Paige Hohl drilled five 3-pointers and Danielle West added 14 points, six rebounds, four steals and two assists to send Pine Valley to a 46-18 victory over North Collins in a Division 2 East game.
The Panthers led 16-7 after the first quarter and 31-15 at halftime to raise their record to 8-8 overall and 6-1 in the division.
Vivien Libby collected 14 rebounds and Sarah Kruszka had seven steals for the winners.
Lily Montaldi had 7 points to pace North Collins (7-7, 2-3).
