Pucci-Schaefer closes out her college diving career in style

In a spectacular finale to her collegiate diving career, Alexandra Pucci-Schaefer, an alumnus of Fredonia High School, showcased her prowess at the recent SUNYAC championship, leaving an indelible mark on the competition.

Representing SUNY Geneseo, Pucci-Schaefer’s performance earned her a second-place finish on the one-meter springboard and a fourth-place on the three-meter springboard, helping the women’s team to a 16th championship.

Her journey, marked by consistent excellence, culminated in a well-deserved spot at the prestigious Region 4 championships this past weekend. Competing against top-notch athletes, Pucci-Schaefer continued to shine, securing a position in the top 20 of the highly competitive region.

Throughout the year, Pucci-Schaefer’s dedication and skill were evident, earning her a reputation as a standout athlete within the SUNY Geneseo diving community. As she bid farewell to her collegiate diving career, she left a legacy of success and sportsmanship.
