Chautauqua Lake’s baseball program raised over $800 in donations during its “Hope At Bat” cancer awareness event during the Eagles’ home game against Pine Valley on Tuesday. Donations will be forwarded directly to the American Cancer Society to further research for a cure. Chautauqua Lake head coach Matt Cummings is pictured presenting Tricia Smith, Sports Boosters treasurer, with the donations. Members of the team are also holding placards with the names of people in their lives affected by cancer. The placards were then displayed on the back of the dugout during the game.
