Pierce earns medalist for Cougars at CCC

CASSADAGA — Cassadaga Valley senior Ace Pierce was 4-over the par 35 course at Cassadaga Country Club to claim medalist honors in his final home match in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association boys golf action on Thursday.

Pierce’s 39 led the Cougars (9-7) to victories over Chautauqua Lake/Westfield 31-24 and Clymer/Sherman/Panama 37-17.

Evan Steffen fired the low score 40 to lead Maple Grove (16-9, 10-8) past Cassadaga Valley 30.5-24.5, Chautauqua Lake/Westfield 36-19 and the Wolfpack 38.5-15.5.

Carson Swanson scored a 42 to lift Chautauqua Lake/Westfield (11-16, 5-11) past Clymer/Sherman/Panama 33.5-20.5.

Jordan Mescall scored a 48 to lead Clymer/Sherman/Panama (10-17, 6-10).
