Grant’s 81 leads Asquith Tour at Conewango Valley CC
WARREN, Pa. — Shelly Grant’s 81 led the Asquith Senior Tour during its stop at Conewango Valley Country Club last week.
In the White A Flight, Randy Herron shot an 87, while Roger Golden’s even-0 paced the Stableford scores. Brian Rupczyk and Dan Calkins were minus-2.
In the White B Flight, Jim Hale shot a 90 and was plus-2. Mike Abbate was plus-1 and Roger Overend was even-0.
Grant’s 81 paced the Gold A Flight. Don Hustead was plus-5 and Randy Tramuta was plus-3, while Randy Carlson was even-0.
In the Gold B Flight, Bruce Carlson shot a 93. Tony Falcone was even-0, Brian Champlin was minus-1 and Dennis Richards was minus-2.
Paul Trusso’s 93 led the Gold C Flight. Jeff Robinson and Trusso were even-0. Larry Eidens was minus-2.
Jim E. Smith shot a 101 in the Gold D Flight. Ed Potter was plus-2, Clyde Mohl was plus-1 and Bill Radack was even-0.
Closest-to-the-pin honors went to: Dave Fiore at No. 2, Ron Wilson at No. 5, Bill Cross at No. 7, Roger Milspaw at No. 11 and Jack Brunco at No. 16.
The tour will stop at Scenic Heights Golf Course in Wattsburg, Pennsylvania this Tuesday and Green Meadows Golf Course in North East, Pennsylvania next Tuesday.
