Jim Rush and his son, Owen, enjoy an evening at the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame picnic at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club on Monday night. Owen, who will continue his academic and football career at SUNY Cortland this fall, was the recipient of the Bill Short Legacy Award as the top male athlete at Fredonia Central School. The Sinatra Legacy Award is presented to an “unsung hero” in the county sports world. Stoyle has coached baseball at various levels for years. The picnic was attended by about 350 people from all corners of Chautauqua County.
