Fredonia beats Trojans
FREDONIA — Nella Darrell-Sterbak and Charis LaBarr picked up a win at first doubles to jump-start Fredonia to a 4-1 Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association girls tennis victory over Southwestern on Wednesday.
Gilen Gottinger and Amelia Way won at second doubles for the Hillbillies, who benefited from forfeits at both singles spots.
Southwestern’s lone win came from Bailey Bishop and Breanna Horton at third doubles.

FREWSBURG — Kelsey Fischer and Ellla Fuller outlasted Sage Huff and Betsy Leyva 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7-2) at second doubles as Frewsburg beat Salamanca 4-1.
Grace Kutschke won at first singles, while Lily Harvey and Mackenzie Lobb won at first doubles for the Bears, who also received a forfeit victory at third doubles.
Emily Benjamin won at second singles for the Warriors.
