Fredonia boys soccer sees season end
EAST AURORA — No. 6 Fredonia saw its season come to an end with an 8-0 Section VI Class B1 semifinal loss to No. 2 East Aurora on Monday evening.
The Blue Devils, defending New York State Public High School Athletic Association state champions, will take on No. 1 Lafayette International in Friday’s 7:30 p.m. championship game at West Seneca East High School after the Generals beat No. 4 Springville 7-0 in Monday’s other semifinal at All High Stadium.

GOLDEN COUGARS OUSTED
MEDINA — No. 2 Medina scored an early goal in each half to defeat No. 3 Cassadaga Valley/Falconer 2-0 in a Section VI Class B2 semifinal Monday evening.
Cole Callard scored in the fifth minute and then assisted on Aleks Seefeldt’s goal in the 41st minute for the Mustangs, who will take on No. 1 Southwestern in the championship game at 5 p.m. Friday at West Seneca East High School.
