Silver Creek/Forestville falls; G/PV coasts
SALAMANCA — Salamanca went ahead 44-0 in the first half and rushed for 267 yards in a 44-16 Class C South football defeat of Silver Creek/Forestville on Friday night at Veterans Memorial Park.
Xavier Peters ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns, while Connor Seeley added 59 yards and a score for the Warriors (5-0, 5-0).
Maddox Isaac completed five passes for 92 yards and another two touchdowns, with both scoring strikes going to Peters.
Defensively, Zach Trietley was in on 10 tackles and Cory Holleran intercepted a pass for Salamanca.
Silver Creek/Forestville fell to 0-5 overall and in the league.

CAPOZZI THROWS 3 TDs
GOWANDA — Carter Capozzi completed nine passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns as Gowanda/Pine Valley coasted to a 51-0 nonleague victory over Cardinal O’Hara.
Zane Rogers, Winter Mentley-Peters, Camryn Slade and Brayden Smith each rushed for a touchdown, while Trelin Warrior caught a pair of scores. Winter Rivera and Reginald Irion also grabbed touchdowns for the Panthers (3-2, 2-1 Class D).
Defensively, Slade was in on eight tackles; Owen Pfaffenbach, Kyan Austin and Rogers each had an interception; and Mason Wilson and Dominik Whalen each recovered a fumble in the victory.
