SHERMAN — The Westfield boys basketball team finished the regular season with a bang, posting a 92-53 win over Sherman to secure a share of the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 title on Monday.

Westfield senior Carson Swanson scored 36 points, dished 15 assists and grabbed six steals in the win. Zach Maguire added another 16 points and eight rebounds for the Wolverines (18-2, 11-1), Grant Beadle collected seven rebounds and had six blocks and Braylon Swanson scored 12.

Sherman (10-9, 4-8) will have a chance to finish the regular season with a win when it travels to Pine Valley on Thursday.

WOLVERINES POST BIG WIN

WESTFIELD — The Westfield girls basketball team wrapped up CCAA Division 2 play with a dominant 59-26 victory over Silver Creek on Monday.

Nahlia Douglas paced the Wolverines (12-7, 9-5) with 17 points, four assists and two blocks, Olivia Wolfe posted 14 points with three assists and six steals, Sophia Wolfe had six boards, four assists and five steals, Reagan Weingart had seven rebounds and three blocks, Mackenzie Schumaker and Sydney Hotchkiss both had five rebounds.

Silver Creek (12-7, 7-7) was led by Maddy Blair with 14 points, five rebounds and a block, Josie Daniels had five rebounds and Khloe Karnes made two blocks with three steals.

PANTHERS TOP CHAUTAUQUA LAKE

PANAMA — Jessica Lyon posted a double-double with 18 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks as Panama defeated Chautauqua Lake 45-34 in Division 2 action.

Kiera Loberg added 13 points, four steals and five rebounds for Panama (12-7, 9-5), while Cassie Lyon had five rebounds and five steals, Brooke Warner collected four steals, Kaitlyn Horton made four assists and McKenna Kolstee had five rebounds.

Chautauqua Lake (2-17, 2-12) was led by Kaylee Tarr with 17 points.
