CV/MG wins CCAA girls golf showcase
CHAUTAUQUA — The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association held its girls league showcase Tuesday at Chautauqua Golf Club.
Cassadaga Valley/Maple Grove emerged as the winner with a combined three-girl score of 141, led by Jocelyn Wintersteen’s 37.
Jamestown was second with a 157, led by Nilla Ecklof’s 48.
Southwestern was third with a 160, paced by Elise Kartesz’s 45.
Fredonia took fourth with a 186, led by Sydnee Hoffman’s 44.
Wintersteen, Ecklof, Kartesz, Hoffman, Cassadaga Valley’s Brandi Meder, Maple Grove’s Cady Rodgers, Falconer’s Lauren Yagger and Jamestown’s Britta Putney will represent the league at Monday’s Section VI state qualifier at Gowanda Country Club.
