Hillbillies beat Silver Creek/Forestville 43-6 at Orange Bowl

FREDONIA — Sophia Utegg passed for 185 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Madelyn Polhamus, to highlight Fredonia’s 43-6 flag football victory over Silver Creek on Tuesday.

Utegg completed 6 of 11 attempts and also rushed for 66 yards on 10 carries and another TD as the Hillbillies raised their record to 7-1.

Polhamus finished with three receptions for 81 yards; Megan Ivory caught a 65-yard scoring strike; and Natalia DiPalma ran for 61 yards on six attempts.

Defensively, Elizabeth Morris collected 14 flag pulls, five tackles for loss and a sack; Brianna Whitfield picked off four passes and had two pick-6s; Polhamus took another interception back for a score; Mikaela Sciarrino had nine flag pulls and a tackle for loss; and Ivory chipped in three flag pulls, three tackles for loss and a sack.

The Black Knights fell to 0-6.
