FREDONIA — It was another night of close competition in the Friday Night Couples League at the Vineyards Golf Course, as all teams were under par and the high score of 33 was not enough to secure a first-, second-, or third-place finish.

Coming away with first-place honors with a low score of 30 were the foursome of Pete & Amanda Krakowiak and Steve & Dee Lundin. George & Pam Allessi and their partners, Chris & Priscilla Penfold carded a 31 for second place. Taking third place with a 32 was the team of Joe Charletta, Annita Luce, Bill Malinowski and Kristina Smith.

The Allessi/Penfold Team won longest putt on No. 6.

The golfers enjoyed dinner afterward provided by the Vineyards.

The next outing this Friday will include a scavenger hunt.

Last week, with eagles on No. 6 and No. 8, three birdies, and a low score of 29, the foursome of Brian & Anita Luce and Al & Patty Muck captured first place.

Right behind them in second place with a 30 were Joe and Antonett Charletta and their partners, Jim Waite & Donna Merritt.

Rounding out third place carding a 31 were Barry & Cathe Kilpatrick along with their partner, Steve Lundin.

Chris Penfold won closest to the pin on No. 5.

Al Muck was the lucky winner of the black ball washer.

FREDONIA — Tony Nicosia shot 35 to lead the Thursday Tom Tucker League at Vineyards Golf Course.

Closest-to-the-pin honors went to Craig Sutton on No. 5 and Nick Weiser on No. 9. Skins were earned by Nicosia on No. 3 and Jerry Aults on No. 7.
