WEST ELLICOTT — Despite losing the first set in all three of the doubles matches, Fredonia rallied for a 4-1 nonleague tennis victory over Frewsburg/Southwestern on Tuesday.
Nella Darrell-Sterbak and Charis LaBarr earned straight-sets wins for the Hillbillies (1-0).
At first doubles, Elizabeth Joy and Rosie Manzella lost the first set before rallying for 7-5 and 6-4 wins.
At second doubles, Amelia Way and Hazel Daly-Griffen lost the first set before winning 7-6 (7-5) and 6-4.
Frewsburg/Southwestern’s lone victory came at third doubles where Claire Spielman and Marleigh Stappenbeck won 6-2, 6-2.
