FREDONIA — The Fredonia girls tennis team blanked Jamestown 5-0 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association action on Tuesday.

The ‘Billies were led by a dominant showing in first singles from Nella Darrell-Sterbak winning 6-0, 6-0 and then Charis LaBarr following up in second singles with a 6-2, 6-0 victory.

Then in doubles action, the duo of Elizabeth Joy and Rosie Manzella won 6-0, 6-0, Amelia Way and Hazel Daly-Griffen followed up 6-0, 6-2 for Fredonia and in third doubles Michaela Haas and Haley Kingsbury closed the match 6-1, 6-0.

EAGLES EDGE FREWSBURG/SOUTHWESTERN

FREWSBURG — Chautauqua Lake split singles and held on for wins in first and second doubles to defeat Frewsburg/Southwestern in CCAA action 3-2.

Eden Ludwig posted a quick 6-0, 6-2 victory in first singles for Chautauqua Lake, while the doubles team had a long fight for victory.

In first doubles, the tandem of Jill Miller and Molly Ulsh edged Lily Harvey and Mackenzie Lobb 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 to secure a win for the Eagles. Then in second doubles, Taylyn Stanton and Quinn Vaillancourt needed tiebreakers to squeeze out a victory 6-2, 7-6 (7-3).

Frewsburg/Southwestern received a big win from Danielle Mincarelli in second singles 6-0, 6-0, then the pair of Claire Spielman and Marleigh Stappenbeck won third doubles 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.

SALAMANCA — Dunkirk and Salamanca tied in CCAA action 2-2 with the Marauders winning both doubles matches and a Warriors sweep in singles.

Emma Prey claimed first singles for the Warriors 7-5, 6-0, while Betsy Leyva won second singles 6-1, 6-3.

Then Dunkirk won first doubles with the pair of Cheyenne Goldsborough and Jaslieen Morales-Salgado holding on 6-3, 7-5 and then Kiana Jessie and Andrea Nye won via forfeit.
